Newborn Twins

August 17th, 2010

These newborn twins were seven days new for our portrait session.   They were also big twins for being born a few weeks early!

G and G are blessed with great parents a large extended family ready to welcome them to world.  I expect they will all help keep the boys dressed in black and orange for college football season.

Here is a big share of these precious babies:

Brainwashed

July 29th, 2010

Mr. D is so brainwashed.   He volunteered for this session, because he knows play time at my house often involves me plucking a shirt from my boys closet, making him change, and taking pictures.   D reminded me that he turned seven recently, and told me he was available between wii games.  Don’t have to ask me twice!  Happy 7th Birthday.

Who, Me?

July 23rd, 2010

Who, me? Looking fabulous?

I love to make little girls feel glamourous with bows and pretties!  Especially when they come with freshly painted toes and fingers to match the outfit!

Weird Al

July 19th, 2010

It started with the neighbor boys and You Tube.  They introduced Big B  to Weird Al’s videos and songs via computer.   Big B continued to explore Weird Al Yankovic’s parodies on his own, and added a few songs to his iPod library.  He found them hilarious and began singing along to ”I Lost on Jeopardy”  and “Eat It.”    Although at  age 9, he could not possibly appreciate how absolutely blasphemous  the “Eat It” video was in 1984 when Michael Jackson reigned supreme and I was his age.

Big B has been asking to attend his first concert for some time.  I jokingly told him that if Weird Al ever came to Tulsa, the answer would be yes  —  mostly avoidance from attending Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, or  Justin Bieber.   Little did I know, Weird Al still produced albums and toured regularly.  My knowledge of his musical contributions started in 1984 (“Eat It”) and ended in 1985 (with the “Like a Surgeon” parody of Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”).  Ironically, two days later we were driving in the car and heard the radio advertisement for Weird Al tickets.  The rest is history.

Two tickets purchased, one husband in Chicago for meetings, and  suddently I was at a Weird Al concert.   Big B was ecstatic with his very first concert T-shirt.  I was surprised to enjoy myself, probably because most of the content was a total surprise.  Lots of costume changes, pop culture references, and TV clips and funnies.  Who knew Weird Al’s Kurt Cobain impression would come complete with Teen Spirit cheerleaders?   Overall, a great first tour experience for my little man!

One

July 17th, 2010

Happy Birthday!  I have seen another pretty baby grow from birth to birthday.   Miss L surprised me with incredible smiles – she is usually quite the serious one.  Take a look:

And the messy part:

Lucky to have two older sisters:

Hope Year #2 is just as happy for you, little L.
