Canvases

I haven't shared these canvases, and I love them! My tomboy has a cowgirl inspired room, so we had a mini photo shoot last fall with her sassy boots and stick pony.
I decided to go with BIG canvases in Miss J's room, instead of using a headboard.  These are four 20×20 canvases, with .75 inch depth.  That is a queen size bed, so it covers most of the wall.  Love them, love watching Miss J wave to herself, too!

Up

A birthday session at the park with an absolute favorite little man started off with a bang as the balloon bouquet floated up, up, and away minutes after their arrival (and before the portraits began):

Little B handled the situation so well…a couple tears and he was off to explore.  He was on a mission to see, touch, & wander through the entire park (like any respectable almost-two-year-old would!)

I hope you have a fun-filled party and birthday celebration!

Fun at the Park

Monday, August 24th, 2009

It was a great Saturday for the park, and it turned into a 4 outfit day for Miss C.  She is a smart, happy two year old, who will do anything for a bribe of gum!

First Day of School

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

My second baby started Kindergarten today.  His big brother is now a third grader, and little sis is already asking when we can go "pick up our boys."  E-Man was nervous, which RARELY happens.  Can't wait to hear how the day went.

The Newest Miller

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

My kids finally have a Miller cousin, and we spent last weekend with her family in St. Louis.  I am totally unbiased when I tell you that she is perfect! She's gorgeous, rarely cries, and sleeps like a champ already at 8 weeks old.  Baby R also let me play dress up with her, and have unlimited cuddle time.

My youngest was quite disappointed in Baby R, though –  after I broke the news that babies cannot play hide-and-seek, or color, or play dollies.  I'm looking forward to having lots of girlie sessions with my pretty new niece that involve flower bows and tutus!

Here she is:

Vacation baby

Monday, August 10th, 2009

Vacation time is over, school is starting, and I am frantically trying to catch up on life this week (and ten days worth of laundry for a family of five).
Little Miss B is the daughter of good friends, who we caught up with in Omaha last week.  Miss B did not  seem to mind being stuffed into a flower pot, either. Bonus.   Gallery to come later this week!

Deep Thoughts with a Guinan

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

"I'm pretty sure it's illegal to make guests clean your house, Aunt Missy."
