I love this kid! Big B turned eleven this September, but he has always been an old soul. He is perfectly comfortable in buttoned up shirt and tie, and spared me ten minutes to document his eleven-ness.

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011The Vampire Wore Saddle Shoes
Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

The vampire wore saddle shoes with lacy socks, and I couldn’t help but giggle at the serious clash of personas. It was 50′s Day for the 50th day of Kindergarten yesterday, and Miss J was quite attached to her saddle shoes. She went from poodle skirt to fierce vampire in minutes.
My men had a blast trick-or-treating as a Ghostbuster and scary Jester (without the scary….this kid always has a smile on his face).
Thanks for looking!
Backyard Tea Party
Thursday, September 15th, 2011My daughter lives in an imaginary world right now, and is always serving tea, doctoring her animals, or performing on a pretend stage. I wanted to capture her in this magical five year old world, so I never forget the innocent wonder of a backyard tea party with animal friends. These images make my heart sing!
Deployed
Wednesday, August 31st, 2011These cute kiddos (and big sister) met me at the park for an Operation Love Reunited portrait session. This family was incredible, considering it was steamy triple digit weather, like this entire Oklahoma summer has been. I am so pleased to ship off Dad’s album overseas so he can have portable memories. I’m also mailing a surprise to the three little people in the family, so check your mailbox next week, Mom!

Kindergarten Rocks
Wednesday, August 17th, 2011
My baby starts Kindergarten today. How did time accelerate to leave me with a spunky five year old instead of a baby girl?
Miss J is so excited to wear her pink backpack and eat lunch in the big room. She can’t wait to see old friends and make new ones. She has played school all summer long, bossing her stuffed animals around to learn their lessons. I can’t wait to hear about her big first day!

Pre-Tooth Fairy
Thursday, July 14th, 2011The next time I see my spirited six year-old niece, she will have holes in her smile! She has THREE wiggly teeth, and is preparing for visits from the tooth fairy. I took loads of portraits and candids during her visit to Tulsa last week (before that little girl smile is ancient history).
I absolutely love this age for portraits, when children are not yet self-conscious and feel like movie stars when the flash fires. Take a look at this super star:
Look for more to come soon on the oh-so-pink background with my very own superstar!
